Each punt's expected-points result compared with an average punt from the same spot on the field, added up over the season. It puts distance, placement, coverage and returns on one scale.

Positive means he gained more than an average punter would from the same spots. In 2013, Austin Rehkow (+29.6) led college football punters in punt points added, ahead of Richie Leone (+18.0) and Justin Manton (+16.5). 121 punters qualify (minimum 30 punts). The median qualified punter had −0.7.
