Minnesota's Luke Drzewiecki made a 60-yard field goal with 19 seconds left to take a 16-13 lead at No. 4 Indiana. Indiana's Paddy McAteer answered with a 60-yarder of his own as regulation ended, and the Hoosiers won 23-16 in overtime. Our model gave each kick a 42% chance, and the two are the Kick of the Week and the runner-up.

The game was tied at 13 when, with 19 seconds left at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Luke Drzewiecki hit a 60-yarder that put Minnesota up 16-13. Indiana needed a kick of its own, and Paddy McAteer made it, a 60-yarder as time expired that tied the game at 16. In our data Indiana's other four tries of the day belonged to Nico Radicic. The No. 4 Hoosiers won in overtime when Grant Wilson threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Charlie Becker on the first play and the defense stopped Minnesota.

McAteer's came with no time left to answer: if he missed, Indiana lost. It is the only 60-yarder of his season so far, and he is 2 of 4 overall. Yahoo Sports called it the first time in the modern era of college football that opposing kickers each hit a 60-yard field goal in the same game.

How we pick the Kicks of the Week

Every made field goal gets a Kick Score: how unlikely it was (one minus the make chance, times 10), plus 0.15 for each yard past 45, plus the moment: 8 for a walk-off winner, 4 for a go-ahead kick, 3 for a tying kick, 1 for any other fourth-quarter or overtime kick in a one-score game. The moment counts in full on kicks with a make chance of 60% or less and shrinks on chip shots, so a long bomb can outrank a short winner. Make chances come from the same distance and conditions model behind the MAKE Rankings. A kicker can appear at most twice.
